What is Bpa? Bpa or Bisphenol A has recently become a new buzzword in the media. Bpa is not new, it has been around in our food containers since the 1930's. Bpa is a high protein industrial chemical also known as a synthetic estrogen. Bisphenol A is used as a plastic additive found in clear plastic food containers, water bottles, and canned food liners.
