NEW BALTIMORE -- A New Baltimore woman has been charged and six dogs surrendered in a Greene County investigation into a case of animal cruelty, the Columbia-Greene Humane Society-SPCA announced Monday.
Forty-three-year-old Sandra Maurer was charged with five counts of animal cruelty after investigators from the CGHS-SPCA and the Greene County Sheriff's Department found five "extremely emaciated" animal at Maurer's home Friday, Oct. 30.
